The photographic work Behind the eyelids attempts to upset the viewer by creating an otherwise everyday scene - a girl sitting in an armchair – by implicating unexpected elements which remain unexplained and trigger the viewer's interpretation. The nakedness of the body, the lack of the upper part of the head and the intense contrast between the white body and the dark background create the feeling of the uncanny. The inspiration for this project was the album of the same name (original title of the album "Mabuta no Ura") by the Japanese band Boris, a concept album for a fantastic film.
